Building Blocks LLC was born from a simple belief: property ownership shouldn't steal your peace of mind.
We're Lynna and Courtney Harper, a husband-wife team grounded in community, connection, and commitment to excellence. Based in Shelburne, Vermont, we bring over 30 years of combined experience in business leadership, property management, and skilled trades. But more than that, we bring something the property management industry desperately needs—real people who genuinely care.

Lynna is a powerhouse entrepreneur with over 12 years of business experience. She successfully built and led a team of 22 women, mentoring each one to grow thriving businesses of their own. Her passion for systems, leadership, and results is the heartbeat of Building Blocks' operations.

Lynna is a powerhouse entrepreneur with over 12 years of business experience. She successfully built and led a team of 22 women, mentoring each one to grow thriving businesses of their own. Her passion for systems, leadership, and results is the heartbeat of Building Blocks' operations.
Lynna understands the emotional weight of property ownership—the 2 am worry, the stress of finding good tenants, the fear of being taken advantage of. She built Building Blocks to address not just the practical side of property management, but also the psychological side. Because managing properties isn't just about maintenance and rent collection—it's about giving owners their lives back.

Courtney brings over 20 years of plumbing and management expertise, having honed his skills in Jamaica before continuing his career in the U.S. He's dedicated to developing high-performing teams and believes in empowering every employee to grow in both skill and confidence.

His technical background enables us to catch problems early, recognize quality work when we see it, and avoid overpaying for repairs. When Courtney walks a property, he's not just checking boxes—he's protecting your investment with the eye of someone who's spent two decades in the trades and believes in getting it right the first time.

As a Black woman-owned business in Vermont, we stand for representation in an industry where diversity is lacking. We lead with professionalism, accountability, and the belief that everyone deserves access to quality housing and trusted management. Representation matters—not just for us, but for the community we serve and the standard we set.

When you work with Building Blocks, you work with us. Not a rotating cast of property managers. Not an anonymous call center. Lynna and Courtney. Every time.

We know that handing over your biggest asset to someone else is terrifying. That's why we've built our entire business around radical transparency—inspection photos, contractor quotes, regular updates, and an owner portal that keeps you informed 24/7.

We're not here to extract fees and disappear. We live in Vermont. We care about building strong, stable communities. We believe quality housing matters, and we treat every property like it's our own. At the core of everything we do is a commitment to building strong relationships—with clients, staff, and the community.

At Building Blocks LLC, our mission is to provide modern, transparent, and worry-free property management with a standard of excellence that reflects the values of integrity, equity, and service.
